(For members only) Welcome
to this a new section of our Web site. This section consist of the
Levasseurs and their family’s old photographs. You can also take part
in this archive by sending us your parents’ or grandparent’s
photographs; (Photographed in their premises in Canada, in the United
States, around a table, at their wedding, in spade screws) Pictures
must have been taken between 1850 and 1950
So, we
invite you to forward all these old documents to us, so we can
integrate them into this new section of our Web site and maybe create a
printed album some time in the future.
Our goal is
simple: create an archive about the Levasseur’s families and we wish to
encourage any person or member, to deposit there old documents,
photographs, newspaper cuttings, etc, likely to be added to the history
of this family. Forward your digitized documents to us by Email at:
webmaster@levasseur.org. If we all take part in this project, it will
allow us to create a large archive of files for the benefits of our
members and for our future generations. Don’t forget that in a hundred
years, it will be undoubtedly too late to launch such an initiative!!!
To forward us your digitized photographs and documents:
The files (digitized photographs, funeral charts, printed documents, etc.) should ideally be less than 150 KB.
A direct descendant of a Levasseur ancestor must appear on the photograph.
You must provide us the following information:
- The name of the Levasseurs
- The name of spouses and others
- In the case of a group picture, it must contain the names of the people appearing on the picture
If unmarried, their parents name - If you know the date the picture was taken please include it with the picture
- The picture submitted must have been taken before 1960.

We
can also digitize your picture. You can send them by regular mail
service at the following address (the originals will be returned after
